The U.K. is temporarily easing visa rules for relatives of British nationals fleeing Ukraine as the government continues to urge them to leave the country amid fears of a Russian invasion.
Immediate relatives of British nationals applying for a visa through the U.K.’s family migration route are being exempted from application fees, and will not need to meet the scheme’s requirements for a minimum income and English-language skills. The exemption applies to spouses, civil or unmarried partners, and children under the age of 18 whose parent is not British.
